Nine Holes with Strick...TWSS

He is really excited to answer these questions!!!

Steve Stricker, coming off of a dominating performance at the PGA's John Deere Classic, met up with us before he traveled to England to play in this weekends Open Championship (British Open) being held at Royal St. George in Sandwich, England. Here's what Mr. September had to say to us....
BOSITT: What's the scariest thing about playing in Great Britain.

Stricker: Well, besides the women over there, I would have to say that the the scariest thing to me would be running into one of those guys wearing a kilt and then to have him flash me. That would be enough to make me never cross the pond again.

BOSITT: If you had to pick between Kidney Pie, or Fish n Chips, what would you go with?

Stricker: Kidney Pie, think I'll have to pass on that and go with Fish n Chips and a nice cold beer.

BOSITT: The Irish and Scottish people are well known for their drinking, how do they compare to people from your home state of Wisconsin?

Stricker: We are quite similar actually, we all know that Americans came from all over the world, and in Wisconsin we have our share of Irish and Scots there, and when they came to the US, they brought the best part with, their livers. Truthfully right now though, I think we could take them in a game of Beerfest. Wisconsin vs the World, I think we have a better chance with that than in the Ryder Cup these days...

BOSITT: How many strokes are you planning to win by this weekend?

Stricker: Well I expect that guy who's name sounds like McAvoy to be in the hunt, he's coming off a big win at the US Open, but he won and brought that trophy back to Europe. I plan on returning the favor this weekend, I hope to win by at least four strokes.

BOSITT: Whose idea was it to have you in the commercial with all of the young golfers in it.

Stricker: Well, it was all part of the PGA Tour's First Tee Program, I feel honored that they wanted me to do it after Tiger Woods and John Daly backed out, I mean those golfers are true role models for the youth of America.

BOSITT: Steve, the ladies want to know. Boxers or briefs??

Stricker: Only way you will find out, is if you get me in one of those kilts, and that will not happen!

BOSITT: What is your favorite golf course to play?

Stricker: Without a doubt, my favorite course to come home and play is Brown Deer, home to the Greater Milwaukee Open and John Deere Classic before they moved it to Illinois. I just won that tournament though, I should be able to move in back to Milwaukee or rename it at least.

BOSITT: Who's the most attractive female golfer out there?

Stricker: Besides my wife??? If I had to pick someone else, I'd have to go with Natalie Gulbis, the way she hits those golf balls, and when she wears green....need I say more?

BOSITT: Any pre-round rituals we need to know about?

Stricker: All I need to do is go out there and hit some balls before the round, I don't need to wear red on Sunday to scare people, I don't need to wear ugly pants like that Daly guy, I just need to go out there and do my job and put the ball in the hole.

Stricker: I gotta go, catch a plane and win a championship! GO USA!!!! Maybe when I win I can introduce myself to that Hope Solo character too!
