Kotsay to say the least was off to a very rough start to the year, had myself and my co-blogger Dante wondering why Sheriff Melvin wasted valuable beer money on a person who was once 14th in the AL MVP Race back in 2004. FYI back in 2004, Miguel Tejada was still actually good when he hit 34 homers and 150 RBI's.
But back to the savage at hand with Kotsay, up until July 1st, the mighty Kotsay was struggling mightily, so much that if Ken Macha was still managing he might actually do something besides shrug his shoulders and not know what to do. Then, July came around, and also came a new walk up song...when I first heard I thought it was the 2009 season all over again when the great Frank Catalanatto was gracing a Brewers uniform. Since July 1st, Kotsay has turned up the heat going 12/30 or .400 so far in July, keep in mind previously to that he was 30 for 130 which is slightly worse than the Yuni B line at a .230 clip. If he keeps this up, maybe Sheriff Melvin made the right move, but all I know is that Kotsay better keep on using whoever's love he wants too if we want the Brewers to keep winning. He's no Ryan Braun, but an outfielder coming off the bench with a solid bat over some guys named
